Outside fun!

HAHA! I am updating before a month has passed. WOO HOO!!!! In your face In your face!!!!!

Anyways, now that that is out of my system.

Monday we ended up getting Michelle a very cool power wheels car. We also got her a real bike. So, of course, the weather has been super crappy since! FINALLY we were able to go out for a bit this afternoon.

She is a little freaked out by her car... I don't know why, but she seems to think Mama should be the one driving it. I don't know how she got that idea.... I might have gotten in to show her how she was supposed to press the button. Maaayyyybbbeeeeee....... But she still loves it.

We also got this REALLY cool sidewalk chalk. Basically, you use the chalk, then put on the 3D glasses, and it makes all of your pictures 3D. VERY cool. For Michelle.... Yes, that's it.... Miiichhhellllleeee.........

So, of course, about a billion pictures!!!

After all the playing.....

Ahhh, such a slacker!!

Ahhh, I can't believe it has been so long since I last updated. I am such a slacker. I am not sure if anyone remembers me. I, of course, remember you.... Yeah, good ol' you.

A little over a month ago, we went to Cleveland for our yearly Red Sox v. Indians game. We always go there overnight, watch the game, and hit up the zoo or something. Two years ago we did the zoo, then game, and then the next day we went to the Rock and Roll Hall of fame, and the Football Hall of Fame. The cool thing about that trip was seeing them filming Spider Man 3 right outside of our hotel. Well... Except being woken up at 7 am with them crashing cars. Still, very cool.

Last year we didn't have as much time, because Mike had his work family picnic during the day. Then we drove up to Cleveland, spent the night, then went to the zoo. After the zoo we went to the game, and had intended to leave early. But the Sox were up 1-0, so we stayed the whole thing. And got home at like 4, and Mike had to work the next day at like 11. It was still worth it though!

This time was awesome! We went up there on Monday with no real plans. We hadn't booked a hotel, and were kind of going with the flow. Mike had had some work issues, so we weren't sure how everything was going to work out. He ended up opening Monday so we could leave by like 1:30 to get up there. We made it with plenty of time. The entire time Michelle kept talking about seeing the Red Sox. She was so excited! She can recognize the Red Sox logo, knows atleast half of the players, and is just turning into such a fan. The game was the best baseball game I have ever seen. The Sox were done almost the entire game until the 9th inning when they took the lead, and ended up winning it. It was a very spiritual experience in the baseball world. Just simple, eloquent plays, executed so beautifully you lost your breath. Yes, I know, I am a proud baseball nut. It is just an amazing game. Michelle was awesome the entire time. Everyone kept commenting about how they were amazed a two and half year old could not just sit so good for that long, and in that temperature(it was about 30 degrees!) but how into it she was. It was very fun.

The only downer to that night was that our car got broken into. Nothing was taken, but my bank cards were in the car, so I had to cancel all of those. Pain in the rear.

The next day(we did find a hotel, by the way), we ended up going to the zoo. Michelle loved it. She is so into animals, so she was just in her glory. It ended up being the perfect temperature, very sunny, but a little chilly. So perfect for all of that walking around. When we were on the way home, we ended up seeing a sign for a Beni Hana. Beni Hana is a hibachi grill place where they cook the food right at your table. It was so unbelievably good! Mike and I keep talking about finding time to drive to Pittsburgh, which is where the closest one to us is. Mmmmm, my mouth is watering just thinking about it.

So that was the biggest thing lately. I promise to update with some of the other stuff later.

Gotta take a wicked yes!

We got a wii!!!! I am so excited. We have been looking everywhere for one. I played it at my friend Carri's house a couple months ago, and have wanted one ever since. I think Mike thought I was nuts, since it is just a video game, but it is so much fun. My sister Jess' family has one, so while we were there, I got Mike hooked! He thought I was crazy wanting to play at night, but once he saw everything, he LOVED it. So, while we were out yesterday, we were looking for one, and had no luck. On a whim, we called a store down by Mike's work, and they had two of them! So, we were able to go get one.

Other then that, nothing new today. I love lazy days. All I have to do tonight is cook some dinner. I am thinking pirogies and kielbasa... With lots of yummy butter and onions.

My greeting card

I took this picture at the butterfly exhibit at the children's museum. We are getting it enlarged and framed. Mike thinks it looks like a greeting card. I thought I would share it.

VACATION!!!!!

Phew, what a week. Last night we got back from an awesome NY vacation. It is so crazy to think of that as being a vacation, since it still seems(as long as I have Mike and Michelle with me) like I am home there. It is hard to believe it has been over 2 and a half years since I have lived there.

We got in Sunday night and spent the night and the next day at my best friend April's house. She has two boys(5 and 2) so Michelle had a ton of fun with them. We went out for a nice lunch, and then to Chuck E Cheese with them. It was great to be able to see them. I talk to April almost every day, for hours sometimes, but it still isn't the same as seeing her.

Monday night and Tuesday we spent at my sister Jess's house. Also, very fun. It was great to see Michelle and her cousin Moira(3) together. They were like best friends, laughing and playing. I got to spend some great time with the kids, although I wish I had a lot more time with them.
They even got to sample some of my home cooking, chicken broccoli alfredo, with the alfredo sauce made from scratch. The best part was just sitting around and talking to them. It was so relaxed, and fun.

Wednesday we went to the Baseball Hall of Fame, which is like spiritual experience in itself. It is an excellent reminder of what the game is, and how pure it is. Mike had never been there before (I know, how can that be?!?!?!?! He lived in NY for like 2 years, it is just nutty!) so it was really awesome to not only see all of the stuff myself, but also his reaction to seeing it for the first time.

Thursday we went to the children's museum, which is unlike anything I have ever seen anywhere else. Michelle(and Mike and I!) had a blast. Then Mike cooked an amazing dinner at my parents, so it was a relaxing night for me.
Looking at butterflies!

Friday we took Michelle to go see Sesame Street Live. It was so fun! We have seen one before, about a year ago, but this one was just too cute, and Michelle LOVED it. She was so into it.

Saturday we went to the parade in the morning(St Patty's day of course.... Don't you notice my green font?!?!). At night we went to Crystal and Mike's(friends from my parents church) and had delicious pizza and wings. They have 4 adorable(and really well behaved) kids, so Michelle had a blast with them. The 2 Mike's, Crystal and I then went to go see Uncle Plum(an amazing local band). It was so great, and we had so much fun with them.

Sunday was church, then seeing Heath and the kids. I wish I could have seen Devin more, but it was still great to see the boys and her. The kids are getting so big!!!! Sunday night we had a nice dinner and cake, and then played a super fun game.

Monday we left and came home. It was so sad. Michelle kept asking for Papa. She was heart broken when we got home and Papa wasn't here. It has been rough.

Phew, that was long.

Why there are no pictures of Mike

Some of you might have noticed there are no pictures of my darling husband on here. And there is a simple explanation for that.....

These are the type of pictures I get of him, IF I am lucky enough to even get one.

I hope you all enjoyed looking at his hat, haha.

P.S. Yeah, that is right, 3 posts in one day. I had a lot to catch up on... And a lot of time, haha.

Why it doesn't feel like the heat is working...

I realized I have not posted anything about our pets, or Snugglemals as we call them. This is why we call the snugglemals. The two in that picture are Fenway(Or PupPup), who thinks she is a cat, and Other Cat, who thinks her and the dog are related.

We also have Snug Cat, named for her crazy snuggling.
She is very sweet, and likes to hide in unusual places.... Like this!

Now the reason for this blog title.....

Other Cat likes to position herself in front of the heater, and hog the heat. Sometimes she is nice, and once the heat goes off, she will come see you and let you feel the warmth she stole.
